[montanafood_ag] CFAC's 4th Annual Pitchfest- Applications due 12/31

Please mark your calendar for the Community Food and Agriculture Coalition's (CFAC) 4th annual Farm Fresh Pitchfest on February 20, 2020 in Missoula. During this event, CFAC endorses farmers, ranchers, and local food business owners who apply for a 0% interest, no-fee, up-to- $10,000 crowd-funded Kiva loan. At this live event, our selected Pitchfest finalists present their Kiva loan projects in front of a live audience of investors and community members who want to support Montana’s local food system and lend to the project(s) of their choice on the spot. As a Kiva trustee, CFAC can endorse a loan application, making it more likely that a business will be successful in fundraising for their project. Because of the additional support businesses receive through the fundraising process, borrowers endorsed by a Kiva Trustee are more likely to have their loan fully funded in a shorter amount of time.

Applying to participate in CFAC’s Farm Fresh Pitchfest is a two-step application process. The first application is submitted to CFAC and the second application is submitted to Kiva. The entire process takes about two months. Farmers, ranchers, and food businesses that are interested in participating in Pitchfest this year should fill out the Kiva Endorsement Application<https://form.jotform.com/93217066966163> here by Dec 31st, 2019. Applications will be reviewed by CFAC staff and business leaders in the community and you will hear back from us in mid-January.
