Hi Soil for Water folks.

NRCS is piloting a new EQIP cost share program in four states this year. Seven million dollars will be available for drought-related projects in CA, OR, AZ and CO. There's a tight timeline for applications: JULY 12 DEADLINE. Western Landowners Alliance has an informative interview on the topic at Details on EQIP CIC Drought Relief Pilot: Catherine Magee of Oregon NRCS speaks with WLA - On Land (westernlandowners.org)<https://onland.westernlandowners.org/2021/steward-tips/details-on-eqip-cic-drought-relief-pilot-catherine-magee-of-oregon-nrcs-speaks-with-wla/?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=82cda152-50b0-4559-a16e-5978448f6bbf>. The speakers note that this year's four state program may be the best opportunity to get through the door for the new program.

Best regards,

Linda
