Get ready to win, Montana! Montana Crunch Time<https://www.montana.edu/mtfarmtoschool/mt-crunch-time.html> is a statewide event to celebrate local food and National Farm to School Month (October) by crunching into locally and regionally grown apples on October 22, 2020. All Montanans are encouraged to participate whether at school, daycare, college, work, home, or on the go.

This year, states throughout the Mountain Plains Region (CO, MT, MO, KS, NE, ND, SD, WY) are competing to see which state can get the most “crunches”! The state with the most crunches per capita wins the Crunch Off trophy. Help Montana take home the trophy by helping to spread the word and registering your crunch by October 31!

Montana Crunch Time started as a school-based event in 2013 and has continued to grow since. In 2019, youth and adults from Bozeman to Winifred grabbed an apple and celebrated farm to school connections and healthy communities. This event is hosted by Montana Team Nutrition Program at Montana State University in collaboration with several partners.
