[montanafood_ag] Keynotes available: Gov's Summit on Local Food and Ag

The Governor’s Local Food and Agriculture Summit, was a very successful gathering of farmers and ranchers, economists, marketers, policy leaders, and other agriculture experts from Montana.
The goal of the summit was to explore ways to build Montana’s food economy. The Grow Montana Food Policy Coalition and partners including the Montana Governor’s Office, Montana Department of Agriculture, and Montana State University, organized the event October 28-29 at MSU in Bozeman.
Those who couldn’t attend can watch the conference’s two keynote addresses online by going to https://foodsummit.ncat.org/ . The speakers were:
· Fred Kirschenmann is a Distinguished Fellow for the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University and also serves as President of Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, New York.
· Michael Shuman is an economist and the author of The Local Economy Solution: How Innovative, Self-Financing Pollinator Enterprises Can Grow Jobs and Prosperity.
