1.      National Gardening Association’s Healthy Sprouts Awards to Support Youth Gardening Programs<http://foundationcenter.org/pnd/rfp/rfp_item.jhtml?id=392900024>

Schools and organizations planning to garden in 2012 with at least fifteen children between the ages of 3 and 18 are eligible to apply for grants of equipment and educational resources.... Deadline: October 31, 2012

2.      CDC announces the awardees for the second round of Community Transformation Grant (CTG) Program.

Over $70 million has been made available to 40 national, state, and local organizations to prevent disease and improve health in communities across the nation.  These new CTG grants are focused at populations of less than 500,000.
