Students are also welcome to attend the food and ag society meetings that UM has the privilege of hosting this year. These are national academic society meetings that welcome regular folks, too, who are involved in or studying issues of food and agriculture. This conference isn't in our backyard very often, so this is a great opportunity-next June.

Deadline for abstracts to be submitted is February 11, 2011.  We welcome not only academic sessions, but also encourage activists, government staff, farmers, and others with practical knowledge of food and agricultural systems to participate.  Organizations, businesses, agencies, and publishers may also participate as exhibitors.
