Hi there. I apologize for cross posting and multiple messages!

I am just writing to remind you all that the application period for the Conservation Planning Intensive will end on Friday May 6th. We will notify you about the acceptance of your application no later than Monday morning 5/9.

We have had several questions about lodging. We will be offering a limited number of scholarships for travel and lodging at the Smoke Creek Inn<https://smokecreekinn.com/>. We have a block of rooms reserved for all participants. Please feel free to reach out with other questions!
Thanks!
Tammy

Conservation Planning Intensive for Veterans

The National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT) will host a Conservation Planning Intensive workshop in collaboration with the Daniels County NRCS, and Scobey Community Resource Center, and Rhone's Farm Retreat, LLC this spring in Northeastern Montana.

In this two-day workshop, we will learn more about soil and water conservation efforts to improve your farm and programs through the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and Soil and Water Conservation Districts. We will work on developing conservation goals and a five-year conservation plan for your farm. We will also help you learn how to apply for conservation programs such as NRCS EQIP. Participants will also attend afternoon field days where you will help implement EQIP programs at two separate farms in Northeastern Montana.

This workshop will take place in Scobey, Montana, May 16-17, 2022. It is open to military veterans and their spouse or farm partners. Space is limited and participants will be selected through an application process.

Partners and Sponsors

NCAT is organizing and hosting this Armed to Farm event with support from USDA NIFA’s AgVets program, Ranchin’ Vets, Rhone‘s Farm Retreat LLC, Scobey Community Resource Center, and Daniels County USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service.
